Tsvetelina Churalska's 2014 M.Arch Thesis Research received an honorable mention at the Social Cooperation Architects (SCoopA) 2015 Expo Milano: Feed the World competition. The competition called for design proposals "that concern the rapid population growth of society, taking into consideration the advantages in technology, the exploration of sustainable systems and the establishment of new urban, architectural and construction methods to provide solutions on the problems that this carries on the environments and ecosystems that nurture us."
Tsvetelina's project, "Socially Empowered: Independent Productive Community in Suburban America," completed with faculty advisor Hayley Eber, was chosen from over 100 entries globally as a finalist. Her prize includes an internship at Shigeru Ban Architects.
The Social Cooperation Architects (SCoopA) 2015 Expo Milano is on display in Milan through October.
