Iván-Nicholas Cisneros, a second year Professional M.Arch student, will be speaking at the University of Pennsylvania’s Kislak Center on Saturday, April 15th. The conference/inventors lab "A Toolkit for the Anthropocene" is being organized by the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities and aims to recall the role of utopian narratives in the environmental imaginary and in environmental thought, including the environmental sciences.
Ivan-Nicholas’s presentation “Perversions of Eco/Urban Futures” will analyze the limitations in speculative architectural design processes and productions that fetishize, co-opt, and at times exploit social and environmental problems within urban contexts.
