Cristina Díaz Moreno is an M.Arch Architect (E.T.S. de Arquitectur­a de Madrid, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid), co-director, and co-founder of amid.cero9, an experimental architectural practice based in Madrid, with Efren Garcia Grinda. She is Director of an Option Studio at the GSD, Harvard University (since 2015), Diploma Unit Masters at the A.A. School in London (since 2009) and Visiting Professor and Unit Director at the SAC StädSchule Architectural Class, Frankfürt StädSchule (since 2016). Previously she has been a Visiting Professor at the Institut für Kunst und Architektur, Akademie der Bildenden Künste IKA, Vienna (2013-2014); Visiting Critic in Architecture at the AAP School, Cornell University, New York (2007); Visiting Critic at the EAPM, École d’Architecture de Paris – Malaquais, Paris (2004); Associated Critic in Landscape Architecture at the Paisajes Contemporáneos Laboratory, ETSAM-UPM Madrid (2003-2004); Associated Professor at Project Design in ETSAM, UPM, Madrid (2000-2012); Associated Professor at Project Design, Architecture and Art School, Universidad Europea de Madrid, UEM (1998-2013); Visiting Associated Professor at Project Design in the Universidad Politécnica de Alicante (2000); Visiting Associate Professor at the School of Architecture, ESARQ Universidad Internacional de Catalunya, Barcelona (2000).

Her work with amid.cero9 is part of the Permanent Collection of the Pompidou Center in Paris and has been exhibited in the Biennale di Architettura di Venezia in the Official Section in 2010, 2004 and 2000, in the Spanish Pavillion in 2014 and 2002 and in the Greek Pavillion in 2014. amid.cero9 has won more than 40 prizes in national and international competitions. Their projects and writings from the past 15 years are documented in “Third Natures, a Micropedia” (AA Publications, London, 2014) and recently in a monographic issue of El Croquis, N184.
