Digesting Materiality, a Disorderly Colloquium

Posted By:

Monday, April 30th
6:00pm, South Gallery

Digesting Materiality is a disorderly colloquium culminating the Spring 2018 Lecture Series on materiality at Princeton University's School of Architecture. Coordinated and moderated by post-professional M.Arch students Deborah Garcia and José Ibarra, this event is open to the public and encourages audience participation.

Swapping the sobriety of academic conversations for the buzz of a surrealist party, the colloquium will reconcile fast-paced thoughts around color, texture, authenticity, environment, and more. In the style of musical chairs, guests are invited to sit at the table amongst bricks and cinder blocks to discuss the topic of materiality and its meaning in architectural discourse today.

Spring 2018 Lecture Series made possible by the Jean Labatut Memorial Lecture Fund. The School of Architecture, Princeton University, is registered with the AIA Continuing Education System (AIA/CES) and is committed to developing quality learning activities in accordance with the AIA/CES criteria.
