Baseball-Beisbol Networked Realities
Baseball as an apparatus for reproducing realities and enacting social transformation
This project analyses the capacity for baseball to act as a networked infrastructure between New York City and Mexico. By constructing a map of nodes that constitute the flow of people, merchandise and information between the US and Mexico leagues, the possible sites for intervention are made visible. The potentials of this network are then tested and exploited through the parasitical retrofitting of each of these nodes, beginning with the Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
