This two-day symposium held in conjunction with the Princeton University Art Museum exhibition The City Lost and Found: Capturing New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, 1960-1980 brings together a dynamic group of interdisciplinary scholars for conversations about the ongoing relationship between visual arts and urban studies. Sessions will focus on New York neighborhoods in the 1960s, visual culture and architecture in pan-American cities, and the ways in which artists engage with urbanism in the present day.
