Ingrid is a Ph.D. candidate in History and Theory of Architecture at Princeton University. Her current research examines exchanges in architectural history, pedagogy, and practice between the U.S. and Ghana from the late 60s to 80s. In the U.S. context, she is particularly interested in minority groups of students, faculty, and practitioners—many of whom had newly entered universities after the turmoil of 1968—their attempts to resist dominant modes of architectural thinking, and their intersections with Third-World solidarity movements and emerging cultural studies programs of the same period.

Ingrid holds an M.Arch from UCLA, where she also served as a founding editor of POOL. She has facilitated both design studios and lecture courses in architecture at UCLA and Barnard College. Prior to starting her Ph.D, Ingrid worked in a number of architectural design offices and non-profit arts organizations, including on exhibition design with the Fowler Museum and Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.
